What is pescaíto frito?

Pescaíto frito is the local way of saying pescado frito, fried fish. We are a tapas bar, not a fish restaurant or a seafood restaurant, but the Fried fish section of our menu has nine dishes at the same two prices, and the Fritura Malagueña has its own line just after it. Order it at any of our three doors, on and beside Plaza de la Merced, with a glass of sangria from our bar on Plaza de la Merced.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Fried fish questions.

Are boquerones sardines?

No. Boquerones are fresh anchovies, not sardines. On our menu you’ll find them fried, at €7 as a tapa or €16.50 and €23.50 in the Fried fish section, and as boquerones al limón, fresh anchovies marinated in lemon. Not sure what a piece is? Ask your waiter.

Do you serve espetos?

No, espetos aren’t on our menu. For grilled fish and seafood, see the Fish and seafood section: grilled baby squid €19, grilled prawns €20, grilled salmon €24.50 and a whole grilled squid €25. The Fried fish section also has rosada a la plancha (grilled pink cusk-eel), €16.50 or €23.50.
